Table size: the seat-count formula
Allow 75–80cm of table edge per seated person, and 1.2m minimum between table edge and wall so chairs pull out and people pass behind them. So: an 8-seater wants roughly a 2.4m table in a room at least 4.8m long. Chairs that belong at the table
